John P. Embry serves as the Chief Investment Strategist of Sprott Asset Management LP Mr. Embry served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager of RBC Asset Management Inc. He joined the Sprott Asset Management Inc. in March 2003 with focus on the Sprott Gold & Precious Minerals Fund and the Sprott Strategic Offshore Gold Fund Ltd and then moved to analyzing global macro issues. He served as the President, Chief Investment Strategist and Portfolio Manager of RBC Funds - RBC Global Precious Metal Fund. Mr. Embry plays an instrumental role in the corporate and investment policy of the firm. He began his investment career as a Stock Selection Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Great-West Lifeco Inc. Mr. Embry then became a Vice President of Pension Investments for the entire firm. After 23 years with the firm, he became a Partner at United Bond and Share, the investment counseling firm acquired by Royal Bank in 1987. Since then, he served as a Vice-President of Equities and Portfolio Manager at RBC Global Investment Management. He served as Co-Chairman of Central GoldTrust until April 29, 2010 and served as its Trustee since 2003 until April 29, 2010. He has been a Director of Sprott Resource Corp. since September 2007. He served as a Director of Sprott Resource Lending Corp. since August 17, 2010. He is an industry expert in precious metals, has researched the gold sector for over 30 years and has accumulated industry experience as a portfolio management specialist since 1963. Mr. Embry graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelors of Commerce degree.
JOHN PHILIP SOUSA IV
JOHN PHILIP SOUSA, IV is the only living direct descendant of John Philip Sousa. He served in the Air Force for four years and currently serves as honorary chairman and board member of the Enduring Freedom, Killed in Action Fund. John Philip Sousa, IV is passionate about helping stopping the misdirection the country is taking. He is committed to doing what he can to ensure that the republic thrives.
The 2016 Committee is the successor to the National Draft Ben Carson for President Committee. The latter was formed in August 2013 by John Philip Sousa IV, great-grandson of the renowned composer of “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” and Vernon Robinson, a retired Air Force captain and former member of the Winston-Salem, N.C., City Council, to draft Dr. Carson to run for the Republican nomination for president in 2016.
The 2016 Committee’s mission is to raise support and awareness of Dr. Carson’s candidacy and organize a grassroots army of activists to propel Dr. Carson through the nomination process and into the White House.
Following the announcement of Dr. Carson’s official exploratory committee, the National Draft Ben Carson for President Committee transitioned to The 2016 Committee. Because of Federal Election Commission regulations, the draft committee could no longer use Dr. Carson’s name in the committee’s title.

In 1980, he blazed a path as a pioneer in local cable television advertising when CNN and ESPN were new start-up channels on cable TV. As a sales manager, he launched one of the first cable advertising interconnects in the nation. He was hired in 1984 by the Christian Broadcasting Network as the first National Cable Marketing Manager for the new CBN Cable Network which later became the Family Channel. In 1995, Paul F. Crouch hired Rick as the Marketing Director for Trinity Broadcasting Network where Rick repositioned the TBN brand inside the cable industry – and played an important role in negotiating the early contracts to launch TBN on DirecTV, DISH, and the former PrimeStar DBS systems. Rick resigned from TBN in September 1998 after receiving a dramatic call from God to fulltime ministry.
